Expand Sales by Reducing the Cost to Use Your Offering

Many business leaders pay a lot of attention to favorably influencing their own prices and costs. In the process they ignore or are insensitive to what customers and end users pay to use these offerings. While this focus may be profitable, much more profit is missed when demand is dampened due to soaring costs incurred by customer and end users. For example, my banker called to suggest that I open a new personal checking account. These accounts are free. I didn't really need this checking account, but my interest was piqued when he told us I would receive a free BlackBerry portable digital assistant (PDA). I didn't need a BlackBerry PDA, but imagined that I could sell it on eBay and make a profit to put into my new checking account. After signing up for a checking account, I learned that I would only receive a BlackBerry PDA if I subscribed to a service costing $720 for a year. Suddenly, I had a checking account I didn't need and a "free" certificate for a PDA I didn't want to spend $720 to use. The bank had wasted its time and money on me, and I had a checking account I didn't need.Presumably […]

Take Costs Away from Customers If You Want More of Them

Many for-profit manufacturers and service providers concentrate only on influencing their own prices and costs. In the process they ignore or are insensitive to what customers and end users pay to use these offerings. While this narrow viewpoint may be profitable, much more profit is missed because demand is dampened due to soaring costs incurred by customer and end users.

WiFi Hotspots News is PDA Game Boon

Tip! Save money - As technology progresses, most of us will upgrade our cell phone and our PDA. Having just one tool to worry about, your upgrades will be less frequent and at half the price.

I came across some intriguing WiFi access news on the TechNewsWorld site.

Seattle residents in the US are partaking of WiFi access made available by the King County Metro Transit.

While some folks in Seattle may be thinking of checking their email on the go and similar mundanities, I'll be thinking along distinctly different lines if the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) suddenly adopts it.

Snails, Warfare Incorporated and some Stuntcar Extreme to whet my Pocket PC wireless multiplayer gaming appetite, for starters.

The only real problem would be convincing even the most dedicated PDA gamers in light of a recent, ill-timed bus shooting in the city.

Paranoia would presumably detract from the whole gaming experience.

Fortunately for Pocket PC and Palm gamers, there's been an enormous push towards WiFi hotspot availability recently.

Tip! You need accessories. These are the basic, non essential goodies that are accompanying your PDA, like a nice leather case, a spare battery, a data/recharge cable, a recharge cradle and the like.

My WiFi Hotspots gaming article spoke of the city of Philadelphia's talks to implement municipality-wide hotspot access.

It also mentions the recent WiFi access game agreement between McDonald's and Nintendo for Nintendo DS users.

It may be for the best.

It's advantageous to burn off some of the 1300 calories of a quarter pounder with cheese, large fries and large shake, albeit via rapid thumb movement.

With WiFi access becoming so prevalent, let's get ready for the plethora of WiFi PDA game goodness that will hopefully follow.
