As technology continues to move forward, consumers are the recipients of quality products that offer a wide variety of services.  RIM Blackberry is a wireless service that is connected to Blackberry products. Rim stands for Research In Motion and is a stand out in the world of communications.  The services offered to consumers through this product line include wireless internet access and a variety of other useful services.

RIM BlackBerry Products

Since RIM is a wireless service, there are many BlackBerry products that contain this capability.  RIM BlackBerry products include the BlackBerry 8800 Series of phones.  Some of the features that come with this series of phones include email, internet access and instant messaging.  This Rim BlackBerry product also gives its user the ability to have GPS navigation information so finding a location is as easy as pushing a button.  This device also offers the ability to play music or even download sports or news information. Waiting in line and being bored is now a thing of the past with these products.  Not only can information be obtained almost anywhere, a person can stay in touch with the office or family by just pushing some buttons.

Another of the phones that offers RIM Blackberry capabilities is the Blackberry Pearl.  This is a small and stylish phone that has many services to offer consumers.  This phone has the capability to be used as a phone; it has instant messaging, email capabilities and access to the internet.  For fun, this RIM BlackBerry also can be used to play games, track your expenditures and even keep track of calories eaten during the day.  It also contains maps and a voice activated feature to allow for hands free dialing.

Rim BlackBerry products offer consumers a variety of quality services to make getting things done during the day easier than ever.  These inventive phones can be used for much more than just making a phone call.  With RIM BlackBerry devices, the ability to work from almost any location is a snap and keeping up to date is also a breeze.

These products are also small enough that they can fit almost anywhere and light weight so that they are easy to carry.  These types of products are certainly changing the way we are able to communicate with each other. 10 Things to Do With Your Blackberry-No Not the Recipe

Tip! Slowly pry you hands off your Blackberry and proclaim that you have no addiction and hope that the bad people in the lawsuits will go away.

Because you probably have heard about the patent infringement lawsuit launched against Research in Motion (RIM), everyone will only have to suffer thru one RIM shot joke primarily aimed at musicians and those who listen to jazz. This is my list of 10 things 2do with your Blackberry if it does not survive the RIM shot from the lawsuit to turn the $300+ wonder device back into an ordinary phone, or whatever it's supposed to do now that I can't get my email on the fly. This is not a recipe for a piece of fruit although the thought of baking it in a pie and mailing it to the responsible party's does seem like a good idea.

Tip! Just look at your Blackberry as a $300 smartphones/calculator with some extra functions - and go get another hand held PC.

1. Sell your Blackberry on ebay as a Treo with a model number that does not exist. I only got burned this way once, so don't think it can't be done. (I do not endorse or recommend this one! It's illegal.)

2. Just look at your Blackberry as a $300 smartphones/calculator with some extra functions - and go get another hand held PC.

Blackberry Ringtones. Quickly Add Unique Ringtones To Any Blackberry Device. Pda Ringtones.

3. Clean it up, put it back in the box it came in and give it to your boss - tell them it's an electronic rolodex/calculator with some other functions that they'll never notice anyway.

4. Give it to your teenager and ask them to figure out a workaround for your email access, in case the RIM shot workaround looks shot. (oops another bad joke)

5. Paperweight - had to say that one?.

Tip! Backup anything associated with Blackberry data and hire a software consultant to migrate everything to another platform.

6. Backup anything associated with Blackberry data and hire a software consultant to migrate everything to another platform. (We are talking 100's of millions of dollars)

7. Wait until the RIM shot goes thru for changing Blackberries to Redberries and then you will have a few more years before another patent lawsuit. (That extra RIM shot was not my fault)

8. Use it as a Bookmark for all the free books you have received on Blackberry Addiction.(see number 5)

Tip! Use it as a Bookmark for all the free books you have received on Blackberry Addiction.

9. Check yourself into H P's new state of the art 'Blackberry Smartphones Recovery' center in the Silicon Alley. After 1 week and a new handheld you should be cured of Blackberry Addiction.

10. Slowly pry you hands off your Blackberry and proclaim that you have no addiction and hope that the bad people in the lawsuits will go away.

GTD on PDA: Back to Basics!

Tip! You need accessories. These are the basic, non essential goodies that are accompanying your PDA, like a nice leather case, a spare battery, a data/recharge cable, a recharge cradle and the like.

A PDA is a very effective tool to implement GTD. My piece of advice would be to keep things simple and stick to the basic, native applications that make the PIM (Personal Information Manager): calendar, contacts, ToDo and memo or notes.

This may sound quite a strange statement: forums are filled with enquiries and testimonials about so many attractive softwares, used for GTD or even designed for it. Well… if you like to experiment with applications and spend loads of time on it, my advice is not for you. But if you intend primarily to implement GTD and if wasting time tweaking hardware, software and synchronization is not in your objectives and projects, read further!

Tip! Full Internet and email capability. This is a standard feature among PDA's today, but it's worth mentioning.

Implementing GTD on PDA means actually on PDA and computer - at least - in order to be complete and effective with mail, files,…

Then, as a matter of fact, it is highly unusual to keep the same hardware / software configuration for long. Only to illustrate this point, in the past year my work computer was changed, the e.mail client and the PIM changed twice (not to mention the upgrade). My PDA and phone were replaced. I was not calling for these changes, and it sounds a lot for a year, but stuff get obsolete, stop working, get replaced, company IT policies do evolve, OS and software are upgraded, compatibility changes… Of course, adding home devices in the picture (in order to be in sync there) only multiplies the combination of changes and reduce the life span of a given configuration.

Tip! Your own PDA in now being repaired. This is obvious - your PDA is broken or malfunctions and it's being repaired.

In this context of frequent migration, the beauty of sticking to basic native applications is that standard data and standard organization will transfer seamlessly (or almost, crossing fingers…) to new systems.

Then… is it possible to implement GTD effectively on a basic PDA PIM? Absolutely! Let's review how another day…

Keep it Basic, and you will Migrate without Headache !
