PDA Anti Virus - Do We Really Need Them And How To Find The Most Suitable?

Tip! The transparent plastic cover - this one covers your PDA all around, but the screen is visible through a transparent plastic cover. This cover is very practical and it allows you to keep working on your PDA while it's still inside the cover.

Just a few short years ago a PDA anti virus was not necessary. The viruses, worms, Trojan horses and the like were the concern of PC owners only. But as we all know things in the online world change very fast, and these days all PDA's surf the web frequently. The popularity of PDA's and the ease of access to wireless surfing at wi-fi hotspots is a blessed phenomena. But while this is a good development, new throats enter the arena. Today's worlds of pocket pc's is as dangerous as the regular PC's. Numerous viruses, Trojan horses and key loggers are speeded each day, thus forcing PDA owners to arm themselves with the proper protection.

Let's take a look a few of the treats that have immerged in today's PDA environment:

Tip! You need accessories. These are the basic, non essential goodies that are accompanying your PDA, like a nice leather case, a spare battery, a data/recharge cable, a recharge cradle and the like.

1. If you are surfing the web, there are types of viruses and Trojan horses who "know" how to penetrate your PDA and do their worst. You therefore need proper protection from infected files, just like any PC user who surfs the web, downloads files, reads emails etc. The rule of thumb is : if a PC needs this protection, than a PDA user needs it too.

2. IF you are surfing and downloading emails wirelessly, than you need even better protection. If the information you beam and receive in not encrypted, a hacker can read your e-mails and attachments, see what websites you visit, and even worse, steal your personal and financial information. A hacker can even illegally download copyrighted material or launch attacks using your identity. This calls for a Wireless Home Network Security protection system which makes sure all the information you send from your PDA in encrypted, so no hacker can reach it and grab it form thin air. The McAfee or the Caspersky products are recommended for this matter.

Tip! Make sure what brand of PDA you want. If you already own a PDA - that is easy.

3. If you are using your PDA to access sensitive material like your bank account, you need to be extra careful and make sure both your communication and your PDA itself are secured. Don't rely only on the security measures that the bank's website have because they are rarely enough to stop a really good hacker.

Just like in the PC world, You need to stay updated and on top of things. You'll want to update your anti-virus every day through the live update option that most anti-virus software products have. This will ensure your PDA has maximum protection. Always remember that it's better to take care of this in advance as it's always more painful and expensive to revive a computer that was taken by a virus.

PDA Solar Charger Review

Tip! Save money - As technology progresses, most of us will upgrade our cell phone and our PDA. Having just one tool to worry about, your upgrades will be less frequent and at half the price.

Power Me Up, Scotty!

We hear a lot about different types of pda chargers. There are many kinds available on the market today. One of the options for a pda charger is the solar charger. A pda solar charger review finds that these can be a great option for charging your pda anywhere. Having access to your palm pilot at any time is one of the most important functions of it. The versatility of the pda chargers makes it so you never have to be without your palm pilot at a vital moment.

The solar pda charger works by generating Dc electricity from solar energy that is gathered by the solar panels on the device. It then changes DC power to AC power so that your pda can utilize it. Apparently, this is a very effective way to charge your ipaq or palm pilot, however, the drawback being that you must have some sun to generate solar power.

Other types of pda chargers include a hot sync, which uses a USB charger to immediately charge your pda. One of the advantages of this type of charger is that a cradle is not needed to transfer files. This is definitely a quick way to get a charge on your palm pilot.

There are also car battery chargers that plug into the cigarette lighter in your vehicle to charge your pda. This works well, and is a viable option for charging your handheld.

Tip! If you are using your PDA to access sensitive material like your bank account, you need to be extra careful and make sure both your communication and your PDA itself are secured. Don't rely only on the security measures that the bank's website have because they are rarely enough to stop a really good hacker.

The point of having a pda is that you will always be able to communicate and access information at any given time. Purchasing several different types of chargers will assure that you can.

5 Reasons You Should Join the PDA Phone Revolution Today!

Tip! Save money - As technology progresses, most of us will upgrade our cell phone and our PDA. Having just one tool to worry about, your upgrades will be less frequent and at half the price.

There is a quite revolution taking place both in the cell phone and in the PDA industries.

This is happening right under the noses of most people.

But those who are smart enough can jump right in and benefit big.

What I'm talking about is the PDA phone revolution.

This thing is bigger then the invention of toaster-oven.

This is because, like the "merge" of toaster and oven into one appliance, PDA phones bring together 2 of the most helpful, most productive, time saving tools many of us already use. Our cell phone, and our PDA.

Having a "Two in one" tool like this is perfect for people who value their time and money. And these savvy people are jumping in right now and making the PDA-phone their best friend.

Let's have a quick look at some of the huge benefits this tool can give us:

1. We need and use both of them anyway. Let's face it - cell phones are so widely used, you'll be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't own one. And as for PDA's - their popularity is growing at a dazzling pace every year, as prices get lower. Isn't it better to just get "two in one" and save money?

2. Save time - Owning two tools that have so many over lapping function is time consuming. For example, It's much easier to maintain just one calendar instead of one at your cell phone and one at your PDA.

Tip! If you are using your PDA to access sensitive material like your bank account, you need to be extra careful and make sure both your communication and your PDA itself are secured. Don't rely only on the security measures that the bank's website have because they are rarely enough to stop a really good hacker.

3. Save money - As technology progresses, most of us will upgrade our cell phone and our PDA. Having just one tool to worry about, your upgrades will be less frequent and at half the price.

4. More capacity - Many cell phones are limited in their memory capacity and their overall ability to handle administrative tasks. The PDA's however, were born for these missions. The PDA phone therefore is a phone with a huge capacity for handling almost anything.

Tip! Make sure what brand of PDA you want. If you already own a PDA - that is easy.

5. Integration - The biggest reason for merging these two vital tools is to enjoy the benefits of integration. You'll be able to organize your calendar, talk to your friend and colleagues, download emails, listen to an mp3 file and play an addictive arcade game all at the same place.

The PDA phone revolution is here. Those who use it to their benefit will be way ahead of others.

So how about joining the revolution?
